I’m Rick Lomas, bass player with the Harper Brothers – I’ve been making websites for about 14 years, but more importantly I’ve been playing bass with The Harper Brothers for about 21 years, so it’s about time I made a site for the band. The Facebook page is coming along OK, so that will be my next stage to integrate that with this site.
For any knobheads out there, this is a WordPress blog with a Thesis theme and an EasyThesis skin – I’m just going to do a few blog posts about getting the site up and indexed with Google – mainly so I can keep track of where I am and also to provide some original content for the search engines to look at and hopefully index

I’ve just set the permalinks to category/postname and changed the default category to The Harper Brothers with a slug of the-harper-brothers. I’ve also fixed a canonical issue so that the default URL is http://www.theharperbrothers.com – I like that more with the www in it.
